Woman Throws Stepdaughters Into Well In Nasarawa





The Police Command in Nasarawa State has captured a 20-year-old Housewife, Aisha Isah, for purportedly throwing into a well her two stepdaughters, Zainab 4, and Baaba 2, over conflict with her Co-wife.

The Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the summon, DSP Kennedy Idirisu, said this on Thursday in Lafia, Nasarawa.

Idirisu said that the suspect was captured from Yelwan-Bassa town in Kokona Local Government Area following a report of the episode.

He said the suspect had admitted to the wrongdoing and communicated regret over her activity.

He said examination uncovered that Aisha, who is the second wife of Alhaji Isah, was dependably at loggerhead with the primary wife, Maimuna, and that all endeavors by their better half to settle their disparities were unsuccessful.

The PPRO said Aisha guaranteed that the main spouse was continually affecting her kids not to run errands for her, an improvement that angered her since she had no offspring of her own.

That she had given birth to a baby girl in 2016, but the baby died after six months.


He said Aisha had throw child Baaba into the well in April yet since nobody saw her, the family trusted the infant accidently fell into the well and kicked the bucket.

On Aug. 26, the police representative stated, Aisha brought up alert that another tyke, Zainab, had fallen into the well and the husband dashed into the well to safeguard the infant.

He said the husband brought out the baby dead with her hands tied, which drew suspicion from the family and villagers leading to the arrest of Aisha.


As indicated by him, Aisha later admitted to the wrongdoing and furthermore acknowledged duty regarding the passing of infant Baaba in April.

He said the suspect would be arraigned when examination concerning matter was closed.
